If you “cherish & polish it you can bring it”. The spirit of Dacorum Classic has everything from a 1914 Stanley steamer, through to more modern classics. Commercial vehicles & motor bikes are also welcome. Static exhibits also available.
This is the principal event held annually on the first Sunday of the May Bank Holiday weekend (This year its 30th April 2017), starting at either Shendish Manor or Champney’s College in Tring and finishing at the Event Field at Pendley Manor Hotel, Tring. After a quick breakfast, participants will be issued with a route through our local countryside from their starting point to our destination in Tring. The route books are produced in the “Tulip” system that was developed originally in the 1950’s for rallies and provides a clear means of navigation round the route.
Traditionally the driving route is about 55 miles long using back lanes and country roads and provides an excellent view of our local countryside. The route is suitable for most vehicles however we do cater for more esoteric vehicles including Steam Wagons, Fire Engines and Commercial Vehicles – so do let us know if you have something special that you might like to bring!
At the Event Field at Pendley Manor we have plenty of space for picnics and socialising – we can even arrange dedicated spaces for car clubs or groups. We hold a raffle with excellent prizes and various prizes for desirable cars will be awarded on the day.
This year sees the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Dacorum Community Trust so there will be special awards!
